A container office in Plentzia was planned as an information point for the town’s underwater drinks-ageing laboratory in 2012. The adapted shipping container was to stand beside the pedestrian bridge linking the town centre with the metro station.
A container office in Plentzia for visitors
A contemporary report explained that the office would provide information about the underwater cellar and associated activities, including diving, visits and wine tastings managed by Bajoelagua Factory.
The installation resulted from an agreement between Plentzia Town Council, the operator and Aurtenetxea Containers. Zabala Arquitectos was responsible for its design.
The article also described the company’s early move into adapting shipping containers for homes, offices and other uses. Its prices and proposed opening times belong to the 2012 report and are not a current offer.
