Álvaro Aroca created a new artistic intervention at Bilbao Maritime Museum in 2016, in collaboration with UPV/EHU and Bilbao Art. The installation invited people walking along the estuary to set their memories in motion.
Álvaro Aroca: the paper boat and iron
The work explored the fragile material quality of a paper boat through its transformation into iron. Paper becomes iron, and iron becomes paper: a relationship between an everyday form, its material and the maritime setting.
