Container exhibition: Pasaia, Volver a ser

E-cont Work

A container exhibition brings images of Pasaia into a walk-through space. The Pasaia, Volver a ser project combines historical photographs, graphic compositions and a screen inside a white module.

The entrance reveals a bright interior, with images along both walls and an audiovisual display at the far end. Outside, the PASAIA and BERRIRO IZAN signs connect the installation with the campaign during its public presentation.

Customizable

The options are many as long as the habitability, watertightness and insulation standards are met. Both inside and outside you can paint, line wood, cladding, panels, etc.

Low prices

We are reusing a maritime container to adapt it to our needs, a transformation system that is already very present in countries such as Japan, the Netherlands or England and that allows us to offer anti-crisis prices, high qualities and short delivery times.

The containers we use are perfectly standardized, the most common being 10, 20 and 40 feet.

Each container is different, but similar in its resistant characteristics that make them suitable for transport.

The floor of the containers is in solidarity with the outer frame and the steel pillars. They are originally watertight and waterproof. They can be joined together by rigid or mechanical joints, and are stackable up to 5-6 heights depending on the load and use.

Energy saving

Factors such as sun protection, temperature, exposure environment and energy efficiency must be considered. There are systems that allow you to have a sustainable container and save energy depending on the use: recyclable materials, low environmental impact, high energy efficiency carpentry, energy saving installations using solar panels connected to underfloor heating, etc.

Versatility

Depending on the needs, they could be adapted to:

  • Temporary or stable residence of one, two, three rooms or more.
  • Office modules.
  • Temporary businesses: kiosks, security posts, tourist office, stands, etc.
  • Modules or annexes to the houses: tools houses in the garden, guest house or room modules.
  • Bungalows located in camping.

A container exhibition designed around an interior route

The side walls provide the display surfaces. Black-and-white photographs appear alongside blue, yellow and red graphic marks that highlight features within the scenes. The centre of the room remains clear, allowing visitors to move along the module and examine the images on either side.

White walls and a white ceiling contrast with the dark floor. Two lines of lighting run along the upper edges of the space, drawing the eye towards the screen at the back.

An open entrance to images of Pasaia

The photographs show the original container doors held open. A short metal ramp connects the outside area with the module floor. Visitors can see part of the display before entering, while the doorway retains the recognisable form of a shipping container.

The gallery documents both the interior displays and the public presentation. Together, these views show how the module serves as an exhibition room and as a backdrop for communicating the project.

More spaces for photographic displays

For GETXOPHOTO, the containers open towards the landscape to display photographic works. If you are planning an exhibition, tell us about its content, location and access requirements so we can discuss the adaptation.
