Container Home in Mallorca: Econt Live

E-cont Live

This container home in Mallorca brings two modules together beside a garden. The Econt Live project combines a grey steel exterior with a wide glazed front, creating a visual connection between the interior and the outdoor space.

The photographs record different stages of the project, from positioning the containers to views of the fitted interior. A sleeping area, kitchen and bathroom are visible inside, alongside white walls, tall narrow windows and sliding doors.

Part of our E-cont Live container home portfolio, this case shows the relationship between the internal layout, the original container doors and the opening towards the garden.

Customizable

The options are many as long as the habitability, watertightness and insulation standards are met. Both inside and outside you can paint, line wood, cladding, panels, etc.

Low prices

We are reusing a maritime container to adapt it to our needs, a transformation system that is already very present in countries such as Japan, the Netherlands or England and that allows us to offer anti-crisis prices, high qualities and short delivery times.

The containers we use are perfectly standardized, the most common being 10, 20 and 40 feet.

Each container is different, but similar in its resistant characteristics that make them suitable for transport.

The floor of the containers is in solidarity with the outer frame and the steel pillars. They are originally watertight and waterproof. They can be joined together by rigid or mechanical joints, and are stackable up to 5-6 heights depending on the load and use.

Energy saving

Factors such as sun protection, temperature, exposure environment and energy efficiency must be considered. There are systems that allow you to have a sustainable container and save energy depending on the use: recyclable materials, low environmental impact, high energy efficiency carpentry, energy saving installations using solar panels connected to underfloor heating, etc.

Versatility

Depending on the needs, they could be adapted to:

  • Temporary or stable residence of one, two, three rooms or more.
  • Office modules.
  • Temporary businesses: kiosks, security posts, tourist office, stands, etc.
  • Modules or annexes to the houses: tools houses in the garden, guest house or room modules.
  • Bungalows located in camping.

Two modules for a container home in Mallorca

The main facade brings together the ends of two containers placed side by side. Their original steel doors remain visible and open to reveal the glazing behind them. Seen from the garden, the facade shows how the two modules sit alongside one another and how the interior is arranged behind the glass.

Kitchen and bathroom fittings

The kitchen combines dark cabinets with metallic work surfaces. The photographs show a sink, hob, extractor hood, fridge and washing machine. A glazed door near this area includes an interior blind, adding another detail to the relationship between the kitchen and the outside.

In the bathroom, a blue vanity unit sits below the basin and mirror. White wall finishes include a coloured horizontal band. A sliding door separates this room from the surrounding interior. Sliding doors also appear in other views of the home, together with tall, narrow window openings.

A glazed facade facing the garden

Evening photographs show the illuminated interior, with a bed and a table area visible through the glazed front. Small steps lead up to the entrance. The lawn and stone wall around the garden form the immediate setting for the two modules.

This container home in Mallorca keeps the original modules recognisable while incorporating extensive glazing and domestic interior finishes. The gallery offers views of both the completed spaces and the earlier installation stage, making the transformation easier to follow.
